New Ask Us Theory About

Bruce Yanoshek is not par-chu-al to nup-chu-al

Let's consider the word nuptial and its pronunciation. I have never heard partial or spatial pronounced par-chu-al or spay-chu-al, so why does almost everyone say nup-chu-al?

You get this week's Fingernail on the Chalkboard Award, Bruce.  Mike says that even folks in the U.K. pronounce nuptial in that annoying manner.

Is there something you read or hear that sends you up the wall?

Do tell us.
